We’ve all heard of beer googles. You may’ve even blamed some . . . um . . . controversial personal decisions on them. And a new study found that beer goggles really DO exist . . . but maybe not how you think.
Drinking doesn’t make you lower your standards . . . it just keeps you from being as judgmental as you are when you’re sober.
Researchers at Edge Hill University in England monitored people at a bar and found that sober people get distracted by attractive faces . . . but drunk people get distracted by ALL faces.
So it’s possible that when you’re drunk, you’ll give attention to someone you might not give attention to when you’re sober . . . because you’re not even processing whether they look good to you or not.
