COOL: The Final Full Moon of the Decade Peaks at 12:12am on 12/12

Cool coincidence, or cosmic significance?

The final full moon of the decade will peak at 12:12am (EST), tomorrow . . . December 12th (or 12/12).

The number twelve pops up all the time in our everyday lives. For example, there are twelve months in a year, and a day is made up of two twelve hour periods (AM and PM).

12 men have walked on the moon.

There’s the “12 Days of Christmas”.

Then, there’s the “12th Man” (sorry Niner Faithful).

In numerology, the number 12 is related to completion, perfection, harmony, motivation, achievement and independence.

Thursday’s full moon is called the “Cold Moon” or “Long Night’s Moon,” for the time of year when Winter really begins.
