Deep Purple – comprised of Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Steve Morse and Don Airey, are in the midst of their North American “Long Goodbye Tour”. Reno was lucky to be one of the stops on the tour. The Grand Sierra Resort will play host to Deep Purple as they take the stage in the Grand Theater on Friday night Sept. 13th. Deep Purple was formed in 1968, at Hertford, England, just north of London. KOZZ’s Max Volume got a hold of 26 year member, lead guitarist Steve Morse to talk about the grand finale for Deep Purple’s 51 year reign as one of the pioneering seminal hard rock bands.
