VIDEO: NASA Named a Rolling Boulder on Mars After the Rolling Stones

I don’t know if you know this, but a while back NASA’s ‘InSight’ lander knocked over a large boulder after it landed on Mars . . . and it sent the rock rolling away.

Well, NASA has decided to name that rock after THE ROLLING STONES.  You know, because it was a ‘rolling stone.’  (Rimshot!)

A NASA rep said, quote, “The name ‘Rolling Stones Rock’ is a perfect fit.”

The announcement was made at the Stones’ concert in Pasadena, California last night . . . after being teased by ROBERT DOWNEY JR. on Twitter.

Earlier in the day, Iron Man Tweeted out a cheesy video where he said, quote, “I’m bubbling with anticipation . . . I have inside me a riddle that I have to share:  What do the Rolling Stones, NASA, and the Rose Bowl, and the ruling planet of my birth sign all have in common?  . . . It will all be revealed tonight.”

The Stones issued a bland statement too . . . saying, quote, “A huge thank you to everyone at NASA for making it happen.”
