Styx, NASA, And How You Can Win A Trip To See Them In Vegas with a “Rockin’ Stocking”

Our old friend James Young (The Godfather Of Styx) stopped in on Max Volume’s show ( The Work Force Free Ride) to talk about the upcoming tour where they will play their latest album “The Mission” in it’s entirety, along with all the great songs from their multi platinum catalog. The Mission was conceived after a visit Styx members made to NASA upon the news that a 5th moon had been discovered orbiting the dwarf planet Pluto. It was named STYX (after the band). Tommy Shaw was so inspired that he conceived a concept album about a manned trip to Mars. Hence, “The Mission” was born.

Styx has always had a penchant for outer space themes. With songs like “Come Sail Away” and “Man Of Miracles” it seemed a good fit to go to Mars. If you would like to win a trip to see this historic ground breaking show in the intimate and opulent Pearl Theater inside the Palms Casino Resort complete with 2 tickets to the show January 20th, a one night hotel stay, $50.00 dining credit, and round trip airfare for 2 from Reno to Las Vegas then listen to KOZZ Mon- Fri through December 14th for a chance to win a “Rocking Stocking”. Everyone who wins one will be in the grand prize “Maximum Styx Rocking Stocking” drawing! For all the details Click Here
