Creedence Clearwater Revival and Lotus Radio celebrate 50th anniversaries!

Creedence Clearwater Revival released their first (self titled) album in 1968. CCR Drummer Doug Clifford’s wife Laurie did the artwork. Lotus Radio opened their first Reno radio station in 1968. So it was fitting that we would both celebrate.

Reno boy Doug Clifford (and Creedence Clearwater Revival founding member) stopped in on Max Volume’s “Work Force Free Ride” on Thursday July 26th to share some great stories. Did you know John Fogerty’s first guitar was a Silvertone that he got at Sears? What was the meaning behind “Who’ll Stop The Rain?” and what circumstances led to Tom Fogerty hiring his little brother’s band to form Creedence Clearwater Revival?
